Anti-Ragging Policy
Anupama College of Pharmacy maintains zero tolerance towards ragging and is committed to providing a safe, respectful, and supportive learning environment for all students, especially freshers.
Ragging in any form—whether physical, verbal, psychological, written, online, or indirect—is strictly prohibited as per the directives of the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India, University Grants Commission (UGC), and Pharmacy Council of India (PCI).
Definition of Ragging
Ragging includes, but is not limited to:

Any conduct that causes physical or psychological harm, fear, shame, or embarrassment

Teasing, abusive language, or offensive remarks

Forcing students to perform acts against their will

Harassment through social media, messaging apps, or phone calls

Any behavior that disrupts the dignity, confidence, or mental well-being of a student
Preventive Measures
To prevent ragging on campus, the institution has implemented the following measures:

Constitution of an Anti-Ragging Committee comprising senior faculty members and administrative authorities

Formation of an Anti-Ragging Squad to conduct surprise checks and monitor student activities

Orientation programs for freshers to create awareness about anti-ragging laws and institutional policies

Display of anti-ragging notices and helpline numbers at prominent locations on campus
Reporting & Complaint Mechanism
Students are encouraged to report any incident of ragging without fear of retaliation.

Complaints may be reported to faculty members, the Anti-Ragging Committee, or the college administration

Complaints can be made verbally or in writing and will be treated with strict confidentiality
-
Immediate action will be taken upon receipt of a complaint
Disciplinary Action
Students found guilty of ragging may face one or more of the following actions, depending on the severity of the offence:

Written apology

Suspension from classes

Withholding of scholarships or benefits

Debarring from examinations

Cancellation of admission

Expulsion from the institution
Responsibilities of Students

All students must submit an Anti-Ragging Undertaking at the time of admission

Students are expected to maintain mutual respect, discipline, and ethical behavior
-
Any attempt to conceal ragging incidents will be treated as a serious offence
